Monthly Weight Loss: January–September 2025

I have been closely monitoring my weight loss throughout the year. Regular measurements and body composition tracking help to understand how the weight loss progresses month by month. Below is a clear summary of the development from the beginning of 2025 to mid‑September.


January 2025 – A Fresh Start

  • Weight: 146.6 kg → 142.2 kg
  • Loss: −4.4 kg
  • BMI: 44.8 → 43.4

The year started strong, with a drop of over 4 kilograms in January. This laid a good foundation for the entire journey.


February 2025 – A Steadier Pace

  • Weight: 141.2 kg → 139.3 kg
  • Loss: −1.9 kg
  • BMI: 43.1 → 42.5

February brought a more moderate reduction, but the trend remained positive.


March 2025 – A Slower Phase

  • Weight: 136.9 kg → 136.4 kg
  • Loss: −0.5 kg
  • BMI: 41.8 → 41.6

The weight fluctuated up and down, but the overall trend was downward. This reminded me that not all months are equally fast.


April 2025 – A Significant Change

  • Weight: 134.9 kg → 129.4 kg
  • Loss: −5.5 kg
  • BMI: 41.2 → 39.5

April saw a rapid weight loss. This was one of the best months of the year.


May 2025 – Almost 6 Kilograms Less

  • Weight: 128.2 kg → 122.4 kg
  • Loss: −5.8 kg
  • BMI: 39.1 → 37.4

May was an excellent weight loss month – nearly six kilograms were shed.


June 2025 – More Stable Progress

  • Weight: 121.3 kg → 118.1 kg
  • Loss: −3.2 kg
  • BMI: 37.0 → 36.1

In June, the progress was more stable, but the loss continued.


July 2025 – A Faster Pace Again

  • Weight: 118.2 kg → 113.8 kg
  • Loss: −4.4 kg
  • BMI: 36.1 → 34.7

In July, the weight dropped again rapidly, averaging about a kilogram per week.


August 2025 – Smaller but Steady Change

  • Weight: 112.8 kg → 111.4 kg
  • Loss: −1.4 kg
  • BMI: 34.4 → 34.0

In August, the pace slowed, but the trend remained downward.


September 2025 – Midway Point

  • Weight: 110.9 kg → 107.9 kg (1–15 Sept)
  • Loss so far: −3.0 kg
  • BMI: 33.9 → 32.9

By mid‑September, there had been a 3‑kilogram loss, which bodes well for the rest of the month.


Summary: 40 Kilograms Less

  • Weight at the beginning of the year (2 Jan 2025): 146.6 kg
  • Weight by mid‑September: 107.9 kg
  • Total loss in 8.5 months: −38.7 kg
  • BMI: 44.8 → 32.9

The weight loss has been consistently effective. Although the monthly pace has varied, the overall trend has been continuous and significant. At the same time, body fat percentage has decreased, and muscle mass has remained relatively stable, which is important for healthy weight management.
