🚴♂️ Short Ride in Autumn Weather
This time, I took a short bike ride of about 14 kilometers, which went smoothly in the autumn weather. The route was unfamiliar, and the map application didn’t recognize all the roads, so I couldn’t create an exact route map. The total duration of the ride was just over 20 minutes—just the right amount of time to counterbalance a sedentary workday.
In mid-September, the weather surprised with its warmth. The thermometer showed around +15–20°C, and the sun was shining from a clear sky. A light jacket was sufficient, and cycling felt really refreshing.
🗺️ Tile Hunting – A Fun Hobby
During the ride, I engaged in what’s known as “tile hunting.” It’s a fun way to discover new routes and explore the local scenery. Collecting tiles sometimes requires venturing onto new small roads and paths, adding a sense of adventure to cycling.
This time, the goal was to expand areas to the north and west of the Big Box. If plans proceed, I might celebrate a new milestone this week: a 11×11 grid, and then towards a 12×12 grid.
🏋️♂️ Interest in Fitness Equipment
In addition to cycling, I’ve been exploring various fitness equipment in online stores. For example, VidaXL offers a diverse selection: pull-up bars, kettlebells, barbells, and cycling accessories. An interesting find was a bicycle trailer, which was priced around €30 in their auction section. Normally, similar trailers cost several hundred euros. The trailer would have been really handy in summer, for example, for grocery trips.
💪 Exercise Benefits in Daily Life
Even a short ride brings energy and helps recover from a day of sitting. A 30-minute bike ride or walk works wonders for endurance, and as a bonus, you get to enjoy the fresh air and scenery. Tile hunting adds its own spice to cycling—there’s always a new road or route that hasn’t been ridden before.
